Most icebergs that reach the North Atlantic Ocean come from the major
glaciers of West Greenland. Between 10,000 to 15,000 icebergs are calved each
year, primarily from the range between the Humboldt and Jacobshavn glaciers.

GREENLAND ICE CAP
About 84% of Greenland is covered by 2.5 cubic kilometers of ice that is up to 3200 - 3400 meters thick (10,500 - 11,000 feet).
